Clinical Fellowship in Endourology

Clinical Fellowship in Endourology – 6 months to 1 year at Ford Institute of Nephrology & Urology (FINU), Ford Hospital & Research Centre, Patna, Bihar

The fellowship will primarily focus on practical surgical training in:

Supine PCNL – access, puncture, tract creation, stone clearance and troubleshooting
RIRS and laser stone surgery
Laser prostate surgery / endoscopic prostate surgery
Basic laparoscopic urological surgery
Perioperative management and decision-making in routine urological practice

The emphasis will be on hands-on clinical and operative exposure, with progressive responsibility according to the fellow’s experience and competence.

Eligibility Criteria
MS/DNB General Surgery with MCh/DNB Urology. The fellowship is particularly suited to recently qualified urologists, while the short-term programs may also be suitable for practicing urologists wishing to learn or refine specific endourological techniques.

Proposed Start / Application Timeline
We plan to commence these programs with the 2027 academic cycle. Applications may be invited from January/February 2027, with joining from approximately March 2027 onwards.
