The transition from training to independent urological practice is an exciting one — but it also comes with difficult decisions, unfamiliar situations and questions that cannot always be answered in a textbook.

The YOU Mentorship Program is designed to bridge that gap.

Through structured interaction with experienced urologists and centres of excellence, young urologists get an opportunity to observe, discuss, learn and gain practical insights from those who have navigated the same journey before them.

This is not simply about watching a procedure.

It is about understanding how experienced urologists think, make decisions, manage challenges, handle complications and build a sustainable practice.The program connects young urologists with experienced senior consultants and centres of excellence who are willing to share their knowledge, experience and approach to practice.

The mentorship may be focused on:

  • Specific surgical procedures
  • Complex clinical cases
  • Decision-making and patient selection
  • Peri-operative management
  • Management of complications
  • Newer techniques and technologies
  • Practice-related challenges
  • Rare or difficult procedures
  • Other areas mutually identified by the mentor and mentee

The objective is simple, to help young urologists learn from real-world experience and become more confident, competent and thoughtful practitioners.

Mentorship Types

Presently there are three categories of mentorships available

3 Days

or 10 cases

Specific procedures
Focused exposure with an appropriate case volume.

7 Days

or 15 cases

For Complex procedures with more extensive exposure to complex clinical and surgical practice.

15 Days

for Rare cases / Themes

Focused mentorship around a specialised area, technique or uncommon procedure.

*The exact learning objectives and schedule will be discussed between the mentor and mentee before the program.
