Under the joint initiative of the Association of Southern Urologists (ASU) and the Youth Wing of the Urological Society of India (YOU-USI), a webinar titled “Beyond OT: Building Wealth and Financial Independence for Young Urologists” was successfully conducted on 15th July 2026.
The proposal for the webinar was initially discussed during the ASU Council Meeting. Following approval from the Council, the webinar was organized on the Zoom platform, and the joining link was subsequently shared through public forums to facilitate wider participation. The webinar commenced with the welcome address by the Honorary Secretary, ASU, Dr. Chandra Mohan Vaddi, followed by the presidential address by the YOU Chairman, Dr. Raman Tanwar. The academic program featured four distinguished faculty members with expertise in financial planning and wealth management for medical professionals:
- Dr. Ravindra Sabnis
- Dr. Chandra Singh
- Dr. Kamaljeet Singh
- Dr. Pratipal Singh
Each speaker delivered insightful lectures covering various aspects of financial planning, wealth creation, and financial independence relevant to young urologists. The sessions were followed by an engaging panel discussion, during which participants actively interacted with the faculty and clarified their queries.
The webinar received an excellent response from the urological fraternity across the country, with a peak attendance of 158 participants and an average attendance of 124 urologists throughout the program.
The webinar was convened by Dr. Shashank Agrawal under the auspices of ASU and YOU-USI. The overwhelming participation and positive feedback reflect the relevance of such non-clinical educational initiatives for the professional development of young urologists.
